穴义

膻，袒露；中，中间。
胸部袒露出的中间部位古称膻中，穴当其处。

Meaning

Shan, exposure; zhong, middle.

定位

前正中线，平第四肋间隙处。

Location

on the midline of the sternum, level with the 4th intercostal space.

主治

1. 宽胸理气，治胸闷，胸痛，气喘咳嗽，常与内关合用。
2．乳疾要穴，如乳腺炎初起，产后奶少等。

Indication

1. chest stuffness, chest pain, asthma, cough, often used with Neiguan.
2. main point for diseases of the nipples: the beginning of the mammitis, lactation deficiency.

针法

1. 一般针尖向下平刺0.5-0.8寸。
2．治乳腺炎时，针尖可向病侧乳房方向平刺。
